Regardless of whether you’ll be casting a red or blue vote come November 4th, if you get a chance, watch the roasts of John McCain and Barack Obama.
They are long, but worth watching. It’s nice to see a more “human” side of the Presidential Candidates and not more of the nasty mud slinging.

Awwwhhh….Hill. You dissapoint me. Not that I’m a complete loyal follower but you would have my vote against Obama.
But did you really need to go and bring race into this? Why can’t you be better than this?

I’m not naive enough to think that race isn’t a factor for some people. But this just makes it seem like you’re being a sore loser. Put your big girl panties on and move forward.
I’m hanging my head in shame. I did not vote yesterday in the Wisconsin Primary.
I’ve never prided myself in being the most well versed individual regarding politics (so maybe you’ll read this and think I’m ignorant. whatever.) but these are my random thoughts. And I’m allowed to have them and voice them on my own personal blog. So I’ll say this, if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all.
My half-assed attempt to justify not voting yesterday is that I just didn’t have time to do so, in the morning, before work. I also didn’t get home until after 10:30pm last night and don’t work in the same state that I reside in. In all truthfulness, I can, in part, hide behind this excuse. But the real reason I didn’t vote is that I’m struggling with who to cast my vote for. I’d like to think that I would have made time to vote if I weren’t struggling with this decision.
I’m generally more republican than democrat but I don’t necessarily follow party lines when casting my vote. I try to choose the candidate that I feel represents what I want best, whether that person be a Republican, Democrat, Libertarian, etc. Or as in the last few elections, the lesser of the evils.
With that said, I don’t know who *deserves* my vote.
A few months ago, had you asked me, I probably would have replied that Obama had my vote and was and maybe still am seriously anti-Hillary. However today, I have some serious questions/concerns about Obama. I’ve heard rumors that Obama is a member of a radical church in Chicago. Being that it’s a rumor and could be just that, I don’t want to base my decision on this, however I am concerned if there is truth to this. Another concern I have is where are Jessie Jackson and Al Sharpton in all this? They’ve remained exceptionally quiet throughout the last few months. One would expect them to enthusiastically endorse Obama and in my opinion, both have remained exceptionally quiet. Why? I believe it’s because they know it will jeopardize Obama’s campaign if they were to endorse him. I don’t know that those two wackjobs endorsing Obama would change anything, but I don’t know that I want to risk that. Generally, one wouldn’t want a potential president to align with radical individuals such as these two. Oh, and really? This is the first time that Michelle Obama has been proud of her country? Wow.
On the flip side, I’m not lovin’ Hillary. Scandal seems to surround and envelope the Clintons. Do we really want another 4 years with a Clinton in office? I’m not so sure. I believe that Hillary is very smart and extremely conniving. I believe that she is a very driven lady and has made choices in her life to get her to this exact point — including marrying Bill Clinton. So, if you’re in the school of thought that Bill was just the front man and Hillary was actually running the show, then really, we know exactly what we’re getting with her.
And I don’t even know what to think about John McCain.
Right now, I think I’d rather slit my wrists than make a decision on who to vote for which is exactly why I didn’t vote yesterday. I prefer to not slit my own wrists.

*This will probably be the extent of my politics blogging. I don’t know enough about the candidates to have an informed conversation on the subject. I’m hoping to change this but until I do so, I will more or less remain silent on Election 2008.
